Week 6: Song of the Week

This week's song is taking it back. Im a huge fan of old school. Pretty much Motown and R&B. And this song right here is one of my favorite songs of ALL TIME. If you don't listen to old school R&B and Soul you need to!

Lyrical Poem: "Really"

Sitting in my room thinking of life without you
But honestly I never been with you to be without you
When we met I really loved what I knew about you
I was tryna be the truest me so we can amount to,
Something but something went so wrong
And it hurts because your personality had me drawn
Better than Picasso's art
Remember I told you that's how I wanted your heart
In the same day I was amazing, I fell off?
And all the love you had for me got lost
I knew you was kinda cold but you can't be bitter
How you disappointed in me cuz of what I say on twitter
Its twitter, really I need to know what triggers your trigger
I figure that you're still a sweet girl but Im getting sick of the taste
We go from good to bad in the same day
And its sad because we don't officially date
Maybe if we was closer things would change
I dont play games so me being genuine is waste
If I become full of shit from you being amazed
There's no doubt I still like you
But Im no longer tryna fight you
So Im waiting on the day you come back around
Until then Im gonna continue to hold myself down
And maybe play Neverland in my headphones
And daydream about dreaming of being in your home
Listening to our loves while you enter my zone
Im still trying to reach you even if my chances are blown

Sounds from a Violin

So I was randomly surfing youtube and I found estan247 and I thought his violin covers were pretty dope so I decided to share some of my favorites.

Fighting a Losing Battle

Im starting to notice a trend in the women Im interested in. The thought of this got me to thinking. How much are you willing to fight before you throw in the towel? I've always been the type to fight for the person I want but at what price do I do that, at what price do any of us give to be/stay with someone? Some of us try so hard to please a person but it gets overshadowed by negativity. With me, there is a constant reminder that the past of the females I deal with correlates itself into our relationship. I don't know why this is but it is. People now of days make it so hard to let someone genuine come into there lives. One thing can set them off and everything we worked for doesn't matter anymore but we've done something minute to cause friction in the relationship between us. I understand that most of us have been through heartbreak some worse than other but how much longer are we going to harbor that pain? I've let mines go. Can you say you have done the same, can you honestly say that the next man or woman you meet does not be judge by your restrictive pain? We fight and deal with people in pain because we want to help them heal not to be stricken with pain of our own. All we wanna do is be with you and help. Its sad that we fight so hard and sometimes we lose and get nothing!

Week 5: Song of the Week

This week's song is by Drake. This song might be on his debut album. But this is this week's song simply because its speaks to me. It speaks to my past and present which is a good and bad thing, I guess. *deep sigh* Enjoy the song

Rocker Steez

Obviously Im a big fan of hip hop. But I like other music as well. My favorite genre next to hip hop is rock music. So I thought I should show you my top five favorite rock groups. There not in order by any means and there are other rock groups and artist I like.

1: Evanescence

Evanescence is so cool. I love them & there's something about Amy Lee's voice that makes want to listen over and over. Its hypnotic in a sense.

2: Gorillaz

Gorillaz are the most interesting groups in my top five. The fact that the only perform in the cartoon forms are mysterious. I love anime cartoons and they do too apparently. The mix of punk/hip hop/ and rock makes them a great listen.

3. Linkin Park

Linkin Park is honestly the first rock anything I ever heard. Being sheltered from music half my life made me late for a couple music bands. Anyways Linkin Park's sound is amazing to me. The sound of each song that I heard resonates with me. And I started listening to them way before they did "Collision Course" with Jay Z

4. Gym Class Heroes

There's so much I can say about gym class. The are another blending group. They seamlessly go betweem rock and hip hop and I love it. Every song I can play over and over!!

5. Pink

All I have to say is Pink is Pink. She is one of my favorite artist period. She is so talented. She can do any genre she feels like. Her voice is beautiful and she is a gorgeous looking woman in my opinion.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Incubus
Fall Out Boy
The TingTings
Kings of Leon
Korn
Nirvana----Hi Kela lol

Why females annoy me #568

Had an argument with a girl that I liked. I was flirting with some other girl and she got upset. I know that sounds bad on my part but we don't even go out and it didn't mean nothing. So I can add a third girl who's called me horrible. SMH!

The reason this is annoying is because females tend to take something small and blow it completely out of proportion. It honestly wasn't that serious. And if a man is trying to fix the situation why don't you as a female let me do so. I can't see why ya do that. Its fucking frustrating. Some of y'all wonder why y'all are single. If I didn't care obviously I wouldn't try to make it right because I don't want you upset with me. That's why people relationships fucking breakdown no got damn communication. I hate when a girl doesn't let a fixable situation be fixed. Communication is Key. Ugh Fuck it, there's no point with reasoning with a female sometimes.

Don't mistaken my real interest with my flirtation

Disclaimer: ignore who ever that is in the video its a Charles Hamilton track.

Vision Of Kanye

So I was randomly looking at music videos on youtube as I tend to do sometimes. And my surfing led me to a Kanye West video which led to another Kanye video which led to another which led to....you get the point. Any ways I realized(or should I say reminded) that Kanye's videos were very meaningful in its imagery. So brought up the topic I recently post on blog about Video Artistry. And watching these old Kanye music videos I can say at least musically/video wise he is a Genius. I decided to take one video from each of Kanye's albums and break them down a little, just to show my reasons for loving the particular video.

808's & Heartbreak: Heartless

Right off the back, what makes this video stand out is the way it was shot. It is very different to have a hip hop artist video in complete cartoon/painting form. The visuals to me are absolutely beautiful, abstract, and captivating. I pay attention to details well and the backgrounds of certain scenes still confuse me. I love that there is a mysterious meaning behind the settings of the video.

Graduation: Flashing Lights

I chose this video because people to this day do not understand this video. Im not saying I know for sure the meaning behind this video but Im saying I have a pretty good idea. Now let's first focus on the obvious. This video is very simply shot. One location, one video girl, a car, Kanye, and a shovel lol. I believe that the chorus and bits of the second verse explains the video well enough. Saying "I didnt you would take it this far" can relate to her tying Kanye up and killing him in the trunk. Initially this song is about the price of fame but with this video it also has the meaning of a chaotic and destructive relationship.
Also extra credit for having a girl with a lovely chest. (Im human, so sue me)

Late Registration: Heard Em Say

This is another video that combines visual art with lyrical art. The video is very gritty looking with the charcoal based sketches. The cartoonish characters make the images hard hitting as well as light hearted, so the points of the music can be conveyed while being emphasized at the same time.

College Dropout: The New Workout Plan

It was really hard choosing what video to choose for this album. But what made me pick this one is the very subtle things in the video. I know the song is about how to be a video hoe basically masked as a "workout plan". But if you pay close attention to the little sentences at the bottom of the video they are subliminally saying being a hoe to get with a star is not good. Kanye use a great mixture of ignorance and intellect. For some simple people the video is just cute women with big tities *Ye shrugs* but its more than that if you can pick up on that kind of thing. Also what makes this video great is that its funny as hell.
Bonus for Fonzworth jumping in the middle of the song

The Dedication to Kela

Now you probably saying: Ayo why you doing a shoutout/dedication to Kela? Lol

The reasons are simple. She shouted me out as well as my blog so Im returning the favor. But honestly Kela is just awesome. She has been the biggest supporter of my blog openly since I restarted it. She is mad cool and silly. Although she can be weird at times, which I have no problem with it. She is not your typically(stereotyped) black girl and that why she is awesome and that's why I call her Simone sometimes(CH fans will get that ha). So Im gonna need ya to do two things for me. Im gonna need you to check out her blog and become a fan of her on facebook the links will be below. Please get to know Kela. She has a video series coming out on her blog so don't miss it!

"Me and you are always considered unusual, well I say fuck everyone else because we are thee amazing duo".....Kela you already know what it is!

Just Another Fool

Since last night's incident with my ex, I have been reliving our entire relationship. I've came up with the realization that even though Im the one who broke up with her she was the one who gave up on us. Every day she blamed me for her heartache when I was best boyfriend I could have been at the time. I gave everything to her and it wasn't good enough. I started to get upset because I was a fool. A fool for love, I was so blind to see her for who she was. I've been wondering what I did, the answer was nothing. I did all I could and it wasn't enough so its not my fault.

All Im saying if someone is not willing to love you or let you love them its not worth putting your heart out to be stomped on......

Letting go

Ugh had one of the big headaches tonight. I had to cut an ex from my life. It had to be done because being her friend was not good for me. When she was around I did things I immediately regret. *sigh* I needed this separation unfortunately Im a horrible person now!

This got me thinking. Why is it so hard for us to let go or letting someone go? Even when someone treats you horribly you could still wanna hold on to them. What is the reason for this? I wish I knew the answer. Sometimes we have to let people go because its necessary for our lives to progress but unfortunately we don't see it that way. To be honest the shit hurt me when she responded to my decision. I had to do the best for me. I hope she'll understand one day. When we connect with someone deeply its hard to imagine life without them and sadly sometimes life forces us to make that decision. All I can say is make sure the people that are in your life are good for your life. If not, let them go. I rather be by myself and happy than being surrounded by people who have a negative effect on me. Just think about it.

Video Artistry

Please watch above video before reading:

Why can't all hip hop videos be like this? Where is the art in videos now a days. Not many rappers out now have any meaningful images in their videos. Its the same shit!! Alcohol, cars, money, chains, and girls is all they fucking show. Watching this video made me smile and pissed at the same time. I love this video and the fact that B.o.B put some thought in the video let alone the lyrics. I love shit like this. But also this pisses me off because hip hop videos have become mindless just like a lot of the music. What the fuck!! Hip Hop get it together please before you die out, its on life support and we need to fight for a better product.

Week 2: Song of the Week

I know its kind of soon. It hasnt really been a full week since the last one but I know already what this week's song is lol. So why wait.

This song is by Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover. CG is one of the stars of the hit show Community on NBC(I should be paid for that plug). Donald Glover is one of my favorite comedians right now and also he one of my favorite artist right now. I find it sad that a COMEDIAN can rap better than a lot of big, for God knows what reason, rappers of today :/. Any ways enjoy the music!

Bonus Track (?) by Childish Gambino

Sure Looks Good To Me

People seem to have a problem with me. For one reason or another the person has some sort of grievance with me. Now there are a SELECT few who even get where Im coming from let alone get what Im saying at all. I do not mind being misunderstood at the slightest. To me being easily understood means your like someone else. Like I said before Im a strong believer in standing out and being who you truly are. No one holds you back from anything but yourself. Life would be a whole lot better if the world wasn't based on the opinions of others. That's why I consider myself a loner. Folks say that Im quiet Im really not. If you get to know me and we get close, I don't shut up lol. I have friends and people I talk to, but I haven't let no one in my universe. When I do most people(niggas) wonder what the fuck is wrong with me. I don't value money and I could care less about being flashy, my personality is good enough for me. We need to stop looking towards other people for validation. If you can look at yourself and say "Sure looks good to me" then your on the right track. Make no mistake there's always room for improvement, strive to be better everyday
